Indianapolis Motorcycle Rider Critically Injured By Loose Canoe

One man is in critical condition in the hospital and another is facing multiple criminal charges after a motorcycle and car accident in Sheridan Lake, Indiana.

Indiana Police say that 31-year-old Corey Roberts of Hill City was drinking and driving, driving without a license, driving recklessly, and driving with an improperly tied down load when he caused an accident on Highway 385 outside of Indianapolis. The man’s canoe fell off of his car and struck an Indianapolis motorcycle rider, Billy Napier.

Napier, who was not wearing a bike helmet, was rushed to Rapid City Regional Hospital with multiple serious injuries. Roberts has been charged with a number of misdemeanors and a felony, vehicular battery. He is free on a $10,000 bond. He could face up to ten years in prison and $20,000 in fines for the Indiana motorcycle accident and for driving under the influence of alcohol.
