Wabash Motorcycle Accident Leaves Indiana Man Dead

The co-owner of a Harley-Davidson store was killed while riding a motorcycle in Roann, Indiana this week.

According to Indiana State Police Trooper Mike Tomson and the Times Union Online, 59-year-old Steven Allan Brandt was riding on a 2009 Street Glide Harley-Davidson on CR700 when he lost control of his bike and crashed. The local businessman was spotted by a passing motorist who called 911 on Thursday evening. While Brandt was airlifted to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he died en route.

The Wabash County Sheriff’s Department reported that the bike left the road, flipped at least once, and landed in a ditch. Brandt, who is the co-owner of Brandt Harley-Davidson in Wabash, was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of the Wabash motorcycle accident. It is unclear why Brandt lost control of his bike and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
