Our last blog entry created a bit of a stir, especially among those who worked in the professions that were labeled as "the worst drivers on the road." In keeping with the bad drivers theme, we decided to search out which states in the U.S. pose the most danger to you as a driver or pedestrian.
The study was initially conducted by GMAC Insurance to learn how many Americans could pass a standardized drivers test. (Before you read on, take the driving test yourself, and after you're done, maybe you'll be brave enough to post your score???) When the results were tallied, it was found at least one of every five drivers doesn't know when to use bright lights, how to follow directional arrows, or when highways are the most slippery. 1 of 5! These numbers aren't very reassuring...
So which states are home to the drivers who fared the worst on this test? Here they are from worst to best:
51. Rhode Island
50. District of Columbia
