Does my uninsured motorists coverage apply even if I am injured in another person's vehicle?

A: Yes. Under most policies, your uninsured motorists coverage follows you to every vehicle in which you are an occupant or driver. Thus, if you are riding with a friend and get involved in an automobile accident with a driver who was at fault, but who does not have either any insurance or enough insurance, your uninsured motorists coverage will pay for your damage up to the policy limits.
