5 Injured in Reynolds Crash

REYNOLDS - Cody Loetz, 20, of Michigan City was headed north on US-421, on January 25, 2009, with his mother Debra when police say Erica Whiteman, 26, Monticello drove straight into his path.
Whiteman was traveling west on County Road 100W when she failed to yield the right of way.
Unable to avoid the crash, Loetz' GMC Yukon slammed into the driver's side of Whiteman's Grand Am, sending the vehicle into a spin. Loetz' Yukon remained on the roadway following the collision, but Whiteman's car - in which her two children were passengers - wound up in a ditch on the east side of the highway.
All five were transported to the White County Memorial Hospital, where they were treated for their injuries and released.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage in the crash and were towed from the debris-strewn scene.
