89-year-old Gibson County woman killed in Vanderburgh County Coroner truck and car collision

October 28th 2008--EVANSVILLE, IN
A collision involving a Vanderburgh County Coroner's office pickup truck and another car has claimed the life of an 89-year-old Gibson County woman. The crash occurred Tuesday afternoon in Evansville, Indiana.
Authorities investigating the accident, said a 69-year-old woman driving the car ran a red light, then collided with the coroner's truck. The unidentified driver of the car was reported to have suffered minor injuries. The deputy coroner driving the pickup was not reported to have suffered any injuries.
Marguerite Stewart, 89, who was the passenger in the car that ran the red light, was pronounced dead hours after the crash at Deaconess Hospital due to head trauma.
