Bronson City Manager injured in motorcycle accident on M-66

October 12th 2008--A motorcycle and Amish buggy collided on Sunday evening, leaving the occupants and drivers of both vehicles with injury.

The injured parties on the motorcycle included Bronson City Manager Dave O'Rourke and his wife Rhonda O'Rourke. The injured parties of the buggy included Paul Hershberger, 20, of Bronson, MI, and his passenger Katrina Hochstetler, 25, of Colon, MI.

The St. Joseph County Sherriff's office stated that Mr. O'Rourke's motorcycle was traveling on M-66 approaching Wasepi Road when Mr. Hershberger steered his buggy into the roadway, failing to yield the right of way, thus causing the collision.

Mrs. O'Rourke was transported by ambulance to Sturgis Hospital ER. Lifecare Ambulance and Colon Rescue assisted St. Joseph County Sheriff's department at the accident site.

Further information regarding injuries were not immediately known.
