Construction worker for Advanced Foundation Systems killed in freak accident

October 21st 2008--NEW HAVEN, Ind. A construction site accident has claimed the life of a 41-year-old Advanced Foundation Systems worker near Fort Wayne.
At the time of the accident, the man was working in a hole at a building site when he was struck in the head by a piece of equipment. The accident occurred at Don R. Fruchey Inc., 5608 Old Maumee Road. Authorities reported that the man died instantly as a result of his injuries.
Sean Keefer, a spokesman for the Department of Labor, said that investigators from their office will speak with witnesses and employees to help gather additional facts and determine if any fines or citations are warranted.
Investigators are withholding the worker’s name and details of the accident pending further investigation and notification of family.
Advanced Foundation Systems is a building foundation repair company located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
