FDA Warns Men Against Dangerous Sexual Enhancement Supplement

Posted on Dec 27, 2010

Do you know exactly what your health supplements contain? In many cases, these supplements can involve dangerous ingredients or drugs and although the Food & Drug Association (FDA) regulates these products, they assume that they are harmless until complaints lead to an investigation. While some supplements can be good for your health and effective against conditions and diseases, many are useless and some can be very harmful.

The most recent supplement to gain national attention because of its dangerous ingredients is a sexual enhancement supplement marketed as “Man Up Now.” According to the FDA, anyone who owns this supplement should stop taking the drug immediately and report any problems that they have had in the past with the herbal product. According to FDA workers who analyzed the product, it contains a drug much like the active ingredient in Viagra, a prescription drug for erectile dysfunction that should only be given to patients under the guidance and supervision of a doctor.

Man Up Now is sold online by Synergy Distribution, LLC. It may also be sold in some stores.

While no complications or injuries have been reported at this time, the FDA asks that anyone who suffers harmful affects from the “all natural” sexual enhancement supplement should go to a doctor immediately and report their experience.

The dangerous active ingredient, sulfoaildenafil is similar to Viagra’s active ingredient sildenafil. When taken with a number of other prescription drugs like nitroglycerin, the combination of drugs can lead to dangerously low blood pressure.
