Forest, Indiana woman killed in morning car crash

Patricia A. Mundell, 60, of Forest was killed in a two-vehicle crash on County Road 1250 East at County Road 600 North Monday morning, October 27, 2008, according to the Indiana State Police and the Howard County Sheriff's Department.

A preliminary investigation by Senior Trooper Lee Williams revealed that Mundell was driving a 2008 Pontiac passenger car eastbound on County Road 600 North when she failed to yield at the intersection of County Road 1250 East and was struck in the passenger's door by a northbound 2006 Chevrolet Impala driven by Alison C. Williams, 27, of Kokomo.

Mundell, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene from severe trauma to her body. Williams, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital in Kokomo with a complaint of head and chest pain.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to have contributed to the crash, according to the report.
