I-65 crash; 2 passengers injured

WOLCOTT -- Marijuana and an all-night drive likely caused the driver of an SUV, David J. Statdfeld, 37, of Chicago, to crash and flip over Thursday morning, November 20, 2008, on Interstate 65 just north of U.S. 231 in White County.

Statdfeld apparently fell asleep and left the road according to Indiana State Police Trooper Nate King.

Front seat passenger Chandra D. Simmons and back seat passenger Walter Bently, both of Chicago, were ejected. Both were taken to Home Hospital.

Simmons was listed in serious condition Thursday night and Bently was in stable condition.
