I-69 crash claims the life of Anderson woman

ANDERSON —Sarah L. Woodruff (20) was killed after crashing near the 17 mile-marker of Interstate 69 on Sunday, January 4, 2009.

Woodruff’s 1999 Mercedes was heading southbound on the interstate when she lost control of the vehicle and drove onto the median. The vehicle rolled six times and came to a rest upside down in the median.

Woodruff was ejected and landed in the southbound lanes of Interstate 69. State police say Woodruff was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Woodruff was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Fishers where she was pronounced dead.
