Kosciusko County Head-on crash victim dies

A single mother of two has died after succumbing to injuries she suffered in a Kosciusko County crash last week.

Single mother of two, Desiree Hall, 25, of Warsaw died Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

The crash scene was just south of Leesburg the morning of Jan. 28. Hall’s Chrysler 300 car had crossed the centerline on Indiana 15, colliding with a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Joe Leek, 50, of Warsaw was heading the opposite direction.

Hall had to be extricated from her car. Leek suffered minor injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene, deputies said.

Authorities said that road conditions were believed to have played a role in the crash. Hall was initially taken to Lutheran Hospital and listed in serious condition after suffering internal injuries.

Hall leaves behind two children, Audrey, 5, and Tyson, 4.
