State's top young scientist injured in auto accident

Chelsea Arthur, 18, a New Prairie student recently named Indiana's Top Young Scientist, was eastbound on U.S. 20 when she began to turn left onto county Road 900 East into the path of an oncoming car driven by Tiffany Urbanowicz, 30, of South Bend, at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, according to La Porte County Sheriff's deputies.
According to police, Urbanowicz complained of pain to her chest and Arthur sustained an undisclosed chest injury.
No further details were available.
