Posted on Dec 12, 2008

Indiana 57 has reopened just south of the Gibson-Pike County line following an injury accident this morning, December 12, 2008.

Jack Garrett, 72, of Francisco, Ind., was seriously injured and was airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center after being extricated from vehicle. Garrett was driving his 1997 Chevrolet north on Indiana 57 and slowed to turn left on County Road 150 North when a car behind him, driven by Stephen Stiles, 28, of Owensville, Ind., struck Garrett’s vehicle, pushing it into the path of a southbound Ford Ranger driven by Buddy Dejarnett, 45, of Petersburg.

Dejarnett was treated and released at the scene.
