Two dead after head-on motorcycle/SUV collision on US 421 in Westville, IN

November 4th 2008--WESTVILLE, IN
Jennifer Ray, 20, of South Haven and Alex Esser, 33, of Valparaiso, were killed after their motorcycle was involved in a collision with an SUV in Northwestern Indiana.
Authorities responded to the crash site on U.S. 421 in Westville, approximatley 20 miles east of Gary, Indiana.
At present, the investigation is ongoing; however it appears that one of the vehicles had crossed the centerline shortly before the collision.
Ray, the passenger on the motorcycle, and Esser, the driver of the motorcycle, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities stated that the driver of the SUV was taken to St. Anthony Memorial Health Centers in Michigan City. It is not believed that her injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
