Two die in Lake County head-on crash

Two people died and one person was seriously injured Sunday, November 23, 2008, in a head-on car crash in Cedar Lake.

The accident happened at West 135th and Patterson avenues. Cedar Lake resident Thomas Christie, 32, of the 8800 block of West 141st Avenue, died at the scene after suffering blunt force trauma. Christie was driving alone.

Beecher resident JoAnn White, 64, of the 2700 block of East Offner Road, died at Saint Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point from blunt force trauma. She was identified as a passenger in another vehicle.

The driver of the second vehicle, who was not identified, was in serious condition Sunday night at a local hospital.
