Wabash Man Dies in Crash

ROANN - A rural Wabash man was killed and two more were injured, when a van and car collided head-on Friday morning, October 31, 2008, on County Road 700W (also known as the Richvalley/Roann Road), about a mile south of here.

The driver of the van, Joel A. Marley, 19, rural Wabash, was trapped and had to be extracted from his vehicle when his southbound van crossed over the center striking the northbound car driver by Cheryol Crull, 48, of Roann. Marley succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at Wabash County Hospital.

Roann, also had to be extracted from her vehicle, as did a passenger, Jacob L. French, 17, of rural Wabash.

Crull was transported by Samaritan Helicopter to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, while French was taken to Wabash County Hospital where he was treated and released.
