Westside car-truck crash kills passenger

One man died in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday, February 4, 2009, on the Westside of Indianapolis. Terry Hill, 47, was a passenger in a silver Toyota car that collided with a Ford F-150 truck at the intersection of Washington and Addison streets.

The truck was headed west in the 2600 block of West Washington Street when the car pulled in front of it from Addison Street. The driver of the car, Anthony Thompson, 45, of Indianapolis, told officers that he and his passenger had just left a bar.

Thompson, who had a suspended license, was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital for a blood-alcohol test. Thompson was arrested on a warrant for driving while suspended.

The other driver, Juan Luis Salazar, 29, Indianapolis, also had a suspended license.

The case remained under investigation.
