16-year-old bicyclist injured in collision with vehicle in Lebanon

LEBANON, IN - Police in Lebanon said a collision on Monday evening sent a teenage bicycle rider to the hospital, according to WXIN.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Lafayette Avenue and Camp Street, where police officers and emergency crews arrived at about 6:44 p.m.  A 16-year-old bicyclist was found unconscious after a crash with a vehicle.   The victim was taken to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.  No details were released on the person's condition.

The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old Lebanon resident, was not injured.  The driver was taken to an area hospital for a chemical test, as required by law.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
