CLOVIS, NM - One driver was killed and another injured in a collision of two pickup trucks in Clovis, the Eastern New Mexico News reports.
Police officers were dispatched to the scene at 21st Street and Wheaton Street shortly before noon on Feb. 6, and found a Ford F-350 and a Nissan in a field near the intersection. The Nissan driver was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 19-year-old Francisco Miguel Perez.
The Ford driver was extricated and taken to Plains Regional Medical Center. No information was released on the extent of his injuries.
The accident is under investigation by the Clovis Police Department's Major Crash Team.
