ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Authorities are trying to track down the driver and vehicle involved in a fatal pedestrian accident in northeast Albuquerque, according to the Albuquerque Journal.
The crash happened Friday night, when a woman was struck and killed by a vehicle at Comanche Road NE and Wellesley Drive NE shortly before 7:30 p.m.
Police arrived to find the woman dead in an eastbound lane on Comanche Road. One person told police they heard the sound of a tire screeching and then saw the woman's body.
An older white sedan was seen heading east on Comanche Road after the incident. Anyone with further information regarding the hit-and-run was asked to contact Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers.
