One car crash on I-69 leaves Hamilton man dead

Michael L. Guernsey, 36, of Hamilton was traveling southbound on I-69 in southern Dekalb County near mile marker 122, November 21, 2008, at 7:40 a.m., when the 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck he was driving left the west side of the roadway. The pickup struck a cement culvert, vaulted over, and came to a final rest on all four tires. Guernsey was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by the DeKalb County Coroner’s Office. The crash remains under investigation.
