Your Keller & Keller attorneys recently attended continuing education in Orlando, Florida for the 2026 ACRD Annual Conference. They met with Social Security attorneys from all over the country to hone their skills and to learn about the newest developments in Social Security law. Even though Social Security is a very old government program, there are new challenges every day. From implementation of AI to modern revisions to vocational expert methodology, your attorneys are committed to staying on top of the shifting landscape.
A huge problem facing Social Security applicants has been the collection of medical records in a timely fashion. Sometimes clients don’t remember the name of a doctor or a location. Sometimes providers have delays in actually sending out the records. At the conference, we learned about AADJ (American Association of Disability Judges) and their efforts to improve the efficiency and efficacy of records requests. Former Commissioner of Social Security Leland Dudek gave a presentation, and we thank him for taking the time to reach out to the community of Social Security representatives. There were lectures on questioning medical or vocational experts during the course of the hearing. There were classes on preparing cases for hearing and classes on preparing claimants for hearing. There were sessions with folks providing new tools to help us help our claimants. Your attorneys also trained on safe implementation of AI and on the interaction of Social Security with other areas of law.
In addition to all that new knowledge, your attorneys spent time building relationships with other practitioners and fostering connections with each other. Having a wealth of human resources readily available to assist in complex or novel matters improves the representation Keller & Keller can provide to claimants. Just as a disability can require a team of treating providers, a disability claim can require a team of attorneys. Conveniently, at Keller & Keller, claimants have a strong team of well-educated attorneys to help claimants navigate the complicated system and requirements of a Social Security disability claim.
