GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Police said a car accident in Grand Rapids on Sunday night sent two people to area hospitals, according to WZZM.
An investigation found that the driver of a Kia Sorento was headed north on E Beltline Avenue SE when the crash occurred at about 11:50 p.m. The driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed over the southbound lanes and crashed, causing the car to roll multiple times.
The driver was ejected and was seriously injured. A passenger was injured, but there was no immediate word on the person's condition.
Grand Rapids police investigators believe that speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the incident.
