Driver dies after vehicle crashes into trees off County Road 1000

LAPORTE COUNTY, IN - Police are investigating a deadly crash that took place in LaPorte County last week, according to a WNDU report.

The incident took place March 18 on County Road 1000 North near Frontage Road. Investigators learned that the driver of a 2012 Range Rover had been traveling east on County Road 1000 North at about 3:50 a.m. when the vehicle went into a ditch.

The Range Rover then crashed into several trees and overturned. The driver was found inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was in the car, and no other vehicles were involved in the wreck. The victim's identity was not released.
