COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI - The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal car wreck that took place last Thursday morning, WWMT reports.
The incident happened on Sprinkle Road near East Main Street in Comstock Township. Authorities said a man was driving south on the roadway at about 11:49 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.
The 61-year-old victim, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was in the car at the time.
The sheriff's office said it believes that speed was a contributing factor in the accident.
