Driver dies in accident on northeast side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - A two-vehicle collision in Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon left one driver dead and the other hospitalized, police said.

A report by WISH states that the crash happened on the city's northeast side, in the area of East 56th Street and Arlington Avenue in the Brendonwood neighborhood.

Indianapolis police and fire department crews arrived at the scene at about 12:18 p.m. to find the two vehicles that were involved.  One of the drivers died at the scene, and was later identified as 52-year-old LaShauna Robinson.  The other driver was transported to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition.

No details regarding what led to the wreck were immediately released.
