Man arrested in Three Rivers crash that injured 5-year-old child

THREE RIVERS, MI - A man was arrested in a suspected drunk driving crash in Three Rivers, Michigan that left his child injured, authorities said.

According to a WSBT report, the accident occurred last Tuesday afternoon at about 2:36 p.m. in a school zone in the area of Jefferson Street and 4th Avenue. A 5-year-old was taken to the hospital with serious facial injuries and was listed in stable condition.

The child's 43-year-old father was arrested on multiple charges after police said he was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. He was being held in St. Joseph County Jail.
