Passenger killed when vehicle crashes into pole in Wyoming

WYOMING, MI - Police in Wyoming, Michigan are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on South Dvision Avenue last week.

According to a report by WXMI, two vehicles collided in the street's 3200 block on Friday afternoon at about 2:15 p.m.  The impact caused one of the vehicles to collide with a utility pole, and the car went up in flames.

A passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.  She was a 35-year-old woman from Wyoming.  Two other people involved in the crash sustained minor injuries.

The two drivers remained at the scene and were cooperating with investigators.  Police do not believe speed or alcohol played any roles in the wreck.
