Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - An accident on the southeast side of Indianapolis Monday night left a pedestrian dead, WXIN reported.

Police said a man was hit by a vehicle in the 4600 block of East County Line Road near Emerson Avenue at about 10 p.m.

The victim, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle involved was reported to be cooperating with police.

The incident remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department's fatal crash team.
