Caledonia man fatally struck by vehicle on M-21 near Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Michigan State Police responded to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident in Kent County late Thursday night.

According to WOOD, MSP troopers were dispatched to M-21 east of I-96 after the incident took place at about 11:55 p.m. It was determined that a man had been walking in the roadway when he was struck by a Toyota sedan going east on M-21/Fulton Street E.

The pedestrian, a 26-year-old man from Caledonia, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the Toyota was not injured and was reported to be cooperating with investigators.
