ALBUQUERQUE, NM - The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office alerted motorists to an accident affecting traffic on Interstate 40 in Albuquerque on Monday night.
In a post on X at 7:52 p.m., the BCSO said deputies were at the scene of a major crash on I-40 west of the Route 66 Casino. All lanes of westbound I-40 were shut down near mile marker 138 while emergency crews cleared the wreck.
Drivers were advised to expect significant delays and seek alternate routes. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
