2 bicycle riders struck, killed by SUV in LaGrange County

LAGRANGE COUNTY, IN - Authorities are investigating a collision in LaGrange County last week that killed two people riding bicycles, reports WANE.

The two victims were struck by a vehicle Feb. 26 just after 8 p.m. in the 5000 block of West 100 South.  A man and a woman were riding bicycles on a rural road near their home when they were hit by an SUV, the LaGrange County Sheriff's Office said.  The two died at the scene, and were identified as 58-year-old Mattie Yoder and 57-year-old Lavern Yoder.

Indiana State Police and the sheriff's office are conducting the investigation into the incident.  There was no word yet on whether the 20-year-old SUV driver would face any charges.
