Both Karen and Zach have been named to the 2026 Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers, a recognition reserved for attorneys who are 40 or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. Only 2.5% of attorneys in the state earn this distinction, and we couldn’t be more proud that two of them are right here on our Albuquerque team.

Karen Sánchez-González: A Hometown Advocate for New Mexico
Karen is a first-generation Latina who grew up right here in Albuquerque. She graduated from Atrisco Heritage Academy High School, earned her undergraduate degree from Eastern New Mexico University, and went on to earn her law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law.
Before joining Keller & Keller, Karen spent time working with underrepresented communities, including domestic violence victims, immigrants, people with disabilities, and minors. That experience shaped the way she approaches every case today. She understands that the legal system can feel overwhelming and unfair, and she’s committed to making sure every client she works with feels heard, supported, and represented.
Karen is fluent in both English and Spanish, making her a vital resource for the families and individuals we serve across New Mexico. At Keller & Keller, she focuses on pre-litigation personal injury cases, working closely with clients from the very beginning to build strong claims and protect their right to fair compensation.
Zach Farmer: From Client to Managing Attorney
Zach’s connection to Keller & Keller goes deeper than most. As a teenager, Zach was injured in a serious accident caused by a reckless driver. His family hired Keller & Keller to represent him, and that experience changed the course of his life.
After graduating from Auburn University, Zach came to work at Keller & Keller as a Case Manager. Over the years, he took on multiple roles within the firm while earning his law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Today, Zach serves as the Managing Attorney of Keller & Keller’s Albuquerque office, where he leads the team in fighting for injured people across New Mexico.
Zach knows firsthand what it feels like to be hurt by someone else’s negligence. He understands the physical pain, the emotional toll, and the financial stress that come with a serious injury. That personal experience fuels the way he fights for every client who walks through our doors.
In addition to his legal practice, Zach is a licensed health insurance producer in multiple states, helping disabled individuals navigate the Medicare system.
