ROSWELL, NM – Two semi-trucks were involved in a crash on U.S. 285 near Roswell on Friday morning, the Roswell Daily Record reports.
Authorities believe the driver of one of the semis was going north at about 7:50 a.m. and clipped the back of the other truck as it turned from U.S. 285 onto Crossroads Road, near Yakima Road. The second semi flipped over as a result of the impact. One of the drivers was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The northbound lanes of U.S. 285 were shut down while New Mexico State Police and the Roswell Fire Department responded to the scene. NMSP are continuing their investigation into the incident.
