SOUTH BEND, IN - Traffic was snarled in South Bend last Friday morning after a collision involving five vehicles, WNDU reports.
A post on X said that the incident happened at about 6:30 a.m. on the Portage Avenue bridge over the Indiana Toll Road near Cleveland Road.
One person was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. Three of the vehicles were towed away from the scene. Portage Avenue was temporarily shut down but reopened later in the morning.
The crash occurred during icy conditions that morning on the area bridges and overpasses.
