Man dead in single-vehicle crash on NW side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reports a driver died in a single-vehicle accident on Thursday night.

According to WISH TV, police were called to the scene shortly before 11 p.m. on Lafayette Road on the northwest side of Indianapolis.   A vehicle was found to have crashed, and the only occupant, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No details were released on the victim's identity or the circumstances that led to the wreck, which is now under investigation by the IMPD fatal crash team.
