THOREAU, NM - Drivers were alerted to a crash disrupting traffic along Interstate 40 in Thoreau on Monday night.
In a post on NMRoads at 10:09 p.m., the New Mexico Department of Transportation said the accident shut down the left lane of I-40 eastbound at mile marker 53, near NM 371/NM 512 at the Thoreau/Bluewater interchange.
Officials advised motorists to slow down, drive with caution, and obey all posted traffic signs. Delays were reported in the area while emergency crews were removing the wreck.
