MARSHALL COUNTY, MI - Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Marshall County on Friday afternoon, WBND reports.
The incident happened at the intersection of State Road 10 and U.S. 31 shortly before 4:48 p.m. The Marshall County Sheriff's Department said the driver of a 1999 Ford Econoline van was traveling north on U.S. 31 and swerved to avoid a collision with another vehicle. The van then struck a 2019 Ford Eco Sport, and the collision also caused damage to a 2022 Honda CRV.
A passenger in the Econoline, 73-year-old Jeannie Halliar, was flown to an area hospital with what were described as incapacitating injuries. The driver, 75-year-old William Halliar, was transported to Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Both are from Michigan City. The driver of th Eco Sport, a 30-year-old woman from Kewanna, Indiana, was also taken to Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Argos Police Department, Argos EMS, Argos Fire Department, Culver EMS, Plymouth Fire Department, and Samaritan Air.
