2014 marks the second year in which Keller & Keller has partnered with the Univeristy of New Mexico (UNM) School of Law to provide scholarship funds to UNM law students. Once again, our firm made a combined total of $10,000 available to three, first-year UNM law students who expressed a strong desire to continue furthering their legal education.

Bryan Rowland — $5,000

Bryan Rowland Keller & Keller Scholarship WinnerBryan Rowland graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics. His professional background since graduation has been in the medical industry as a sales manager, a contracts and pricing analyst supervisor, and a pharmaceutical sales rep. These experiences within the medical industry gave Bryan an insight into the barriers to access for basic needs that many New Mexicans have today. Mr. Rowland plans to use his legal education within Natural Resources, Native American Law, Water, and Tort law to help bring wider access to needed services to underserved populations in New Mexico.

Together with his wife of 16 years, Bryan has three children ranging in ages from 8, 13, and 16 years old. An avid sports fan, Bryan spends most of his free time coaching various youth football teams that his sons play for and driving their children across the city too sporting events and practices. Bryan is originally from Washington, D.C., but has lived in New Mexico since High School, where he proudly attended Valley High School here in Albuquerque.

Orsolya Zahoranszky-Kohalmi — $3,000

Orsolya Zahoranszky-Kohalmi Keller & Keller Scholarship RecipientOrsolya Zahoranszky-Kohalmi is a first year law student at the University of New Mexico, School of Law (Class of 2017). She is a Hungarian lawyer, earning her J.D. summa cum laude from the University of Debrecen, School of Law in 2004.

She has over six years of legal experience with expertise in Hungarian civil, administrative law, legal writing and litigation. In 2010 she received a specialized law degree in info-communication law from University of Pecs, School of Law. She was granted a Julius Rezler Scholarship at the University of New Mexico and obtained valuable experience in business law, employment law, mediation and arbitration.

Her goal is to pursue her interest in dispute resolution, damages, liability with special regard to international settings and issues arising in the global as well as in the virtual world. Orshi seeks opportunities to provide legal assistance for people in need and get involved in the legal community.

Alexandria Dell — $2,000

Alexandria Dell Keller & Keller Scholarship WinnerAlexandria Dell is a first year student at the University of New Mexico School of Law. Now that she is attending law school, Alexandria is excited to ultimately fulfill her childhood dream to work with impoverished and neglected New Mexicans in a legal capacity. She is particularly sensitive to those who have special needs and those who have incurred injuries resulting from domestic violence situations.

Alexandria completed her undergraduate education at the University of New Mexico, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Professional Writing. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors distinctions from the University Honors Program, the Political Science Department, and the University itself.

After graduating in May, 2013, Alexandria spent time working part time in a law firm before she moved into a position in a state government office as a research analyst.

Alexandria enjoys riding her horses, running with her dog, being with her family, and spending quiet time reading her bible when she is not busy with school.
