Giving back is not something we just talk about, we are committed to giving back to the community. Keller Cares is our initiative and we believe meaningful service is part of our mission. We're dedicated to giving back to our neighbors in tangible ways.
We have a lot planned, so be sure to check back often to get the latest news about Keller Cares!
Supporting Homecroft Police Department
In the last couple of years, the small Town of Homecroft has sadly suffered several violent crime incidents including the murder of a police officer, two unsolved murders, one solved murder, and a gang-related triple shooting. This is a beautiful small town in the southside of Indianapolis that is just being horribly affected by an increase in crime on all sides of it. Homecroft has its own small police department but relies on IMPD for serious/violent crime investigations as most other agencies in the county do. This past weekend, the HPD hosted all three shifts of IMPD Southeast District and served them breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the beginning of each respective shift.
All of the food that HPD prepared for this act of goodwill was a gift by Jim and Randy on behalf of Keller & Keller. Below are several pictures of the food that was provided and all the officer’s taking a moment from the insanity they deal with each day to share a good meal and some laughs. Big thank you to Jim and Randy and all at Keller & Keller for supporting this worthy cause. Everyone was very appreciative. Keller & Keller has always supported law enforcement in its good efforts, and this is just another example. Thanks to everyone.
Feeding Indianapolis
During the pandemic, we supported our neighbors by giving out meals to food-insecure families in Indianapolis. For the next several months (at least!), each Friday between 12-2, the Keller & Keller staff is handing out sandwiches, bagged lunches, and more to anyone who may be in need.
Feeding Albuquerque
Just like Indianapolis, our Albuquerque office has hit the streets to provide lunchtime meals for anyone who may be in need. Join us each Friday from Noon to 2:00 pm!
Samantha's House
On December 14, 2020, we presented Braxton Johnson—an amazing 7 year old boy with Spina Bifida—and his loving family with a handicap accessible van! This is the first year we have had the opportunity to give a second van to another deserving family in a single year. 2020 has been incredibly difficult, and we're happy to make things a little bit easier for this family.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported Samantha's House to make this possible. We depend on the generous donations of Hoosiers, and greatly appreciate that support. Thank you, Indiana, and congratulations to the Johnson family on their new handicap accessible van.
More About Samantha's House
After representing a child named Samantha, an 8 year old whose life was forever changed when she was hit by a car, Keller & Keller established Samantha’s House: a nonprofit organization intended to help Samantha (and other children with similar injuries) resolve special housing needs.
The goal of Samantha’s House is simple: to make everyday life more manageable for a person in need. The foundation chooses deserving people that have everyday life challenges due to their injuries or disabilities and current living conditions that are not conducive to their unique needs.
Samantha’s House raises money to support building fully handicapped accessible homes and/or handicapped accessible vans.

UNM Law School Scholarship Program
Since 2013, Keller & Keller has partnered with the University of New Mexico’s School of Law to provide $10,000 in scholarship money to first-year law school students. Three students are selected from a pool of applicants who have demonstrated financial need and an interest in representing injured persons. These students are awarded a scholarship to further their pursuit of obtaining a law degree.

Keller & Keller's involvement with Hillel at Indiana University dates back several years and continues through the present.
Jim Keller previously served as IU Hillel President. The organization is dedicated to providing a home away from home for IU's Jewish students, enabling them with an opportunity to sharpen their leadership skills, and stay connected to their history and culture in a traditional and creative setting.
