INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Indianapols Metropolitan Police Department was at the scene of a fatal pickup truck accident Monday morning.
A report by WISH states that the crash happened at the 8700 block of S. Meridian Street near German Park on the city's south side.
Police and first responders arrived at the scene at about 2:45 a.m. It was determined that the driver of the pickup had lost control of the vehicle after hitting a pole.
One man, a passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man driving the pickup was hospitalized but no details were released on his condition.
Police are investigating the wreck and said they did not believe that alcohol was a contributing factor.
