LOS LUNAS, NM - The New Mexico State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Valencia County last week.
In a news release, State Police said the single-vehicle wreck happened Oct. 31 on State Road 6 west of Los Lunas.
The driver of a 2004 Toyota passenger vehicle was traveling west on SR-6 near mile marker 3 at about 5:30 p.m. Investigators said the Toyota left the roadway for reasons that remain unclear, and the vehicle rolled over. The driver, identified as 20-year-old William Archuleta of San Rafael, New Mexico, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The NMSP said seat belts were not properly utilized. It was determined that alcohol was not a contributing factor in the accident. Should any additional information come to light, our Albuquerque car accident lawyer will update this news blog.
