ALBUQUERQUE, NM - Deputies with the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office were on the scene of a fatal truck accident on Friday morning.
In an alert posted at 1:44 a.m., the BCSO said a semi crashed on eastbound Interstate 40 at mile marker 135 near the Route 66 Casino.
Authorities arrived to find one person who was beyond life-saving measures and was pronounced dead at the scene. No details were released on the victim's identity or what led to the crash.
The sheriff's office traffic investigation unit was responding to the scene. All lanes of I-40 were reported to have reopened at 9:19 a.m.
