1 dead in single-vehicle accident on SW side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indianapolis police officers were called to the scene of a fatal accident in a rural area Sunday morning, reports WISH.

The single-vehicle crash took place in the 7900 block of South Mooresville Road on the city's southwest side near West Newton at about 7:15 a.m.

According to the Decatur Township Fire Department, crews arrived to find the driver of a small truck dead at the scene.

No details were immediately released on the victim's identity. No other injuries were reported.

Police were investigating to try to determine the cause of the accident.

At 7:15a.m., DTFD crews were dispatched to the 7300 block of W. Mooresville Rd. for a vehicle accident with entrapment. Upon arrival crews found the driver of a small truck deceased. There were no other patients and the accident is being investigated by IMPD. pic.twitter.com/gmCJPcVvnD
