ALBUQUERQUE, NM - An accident in Albuquerque involving an electric scooter left a child critically injured, reports KOB.
Police were dispatched to the scene in the 1300 block of Spence Avenue SE on Sunday afternoon at about 3:30 p.m. An investigation indicated that the driver of a pickup truck hit a 10-year-old boy riding an e-scooter. The child was hospitalized in critical condition.
The driver involved remained at the crash scene and cooperated with the investigation. Speed is not believed to have been a contributing factor in the incident, according to detectives.
