2 drivers injured in multi-vehicle crash on NW side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Emergency crews were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in Indianapolis on Friday morning, reports WXIN.

The accident happened in the area of Payne Road and W. 86th Street shortly after 7 a.m. Two of the drivers involved were transported to an area hospital for treatment. According to WRTV, one person was seriously injured while the other sustained minor injuries.

The intersection was expected to be shut down for several hours while the wreck was being cleared. Indianapolis police are investigating the cause of the incident.
