2 separate crashes cause traffic backups on Interstate 465

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Rush-hour traffic was snarled on the northeast side of Indianapolis on Monday morning due to two separate crashes.

A post by WIBC Traffic at about 8 a.m. said an accident occurred on westbound Interstate 465 at Allisonville Road. The left lane and right shoulder of the interstate were blocked, causing delays past Pendleton Pike.

A short time later, there was a report of a separate crash on I-465 east at Allisonville Road. That incident backed up traffic on the eastbound side nearly to Keystone Avenue.
