3-vehicle accident slows traffic on Illinois Street in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Drivers encountered delays due to a crash in the Near Northside neighborhood of Indianapolis on Tuesday afternoon.

According to an advisory from WIBC Traffic at 4:45 p.m., three cars were involved in the accident on Illinois Street near East 21st Street. The center lane was blocked on the one-way street.

Traffic was reported to be backed up about a half mile, to 18th Street. There was no immediate word regarding any injuries.
